Privacy, beta service and provider information
Version: 31 October 2026. These notices describe the current invitation-only beta service. Public registration and paid subscriptions are not available. Subscription and consumer terms will be published before any paid service is activated.
1. Privacy notice
Controller: Formativo Concept Kft., 1111 Budapest, Budafoki út 17/A, 1st floor, door 1, Hungary. Privacy and account requests: [email protected].
What we process: invited beta users' email addresses, account identifiers, authentication/session information and account status; selected RSS sources, saved articles, read/unread states, AI outputs and follow-up questions, interface preferences and locally stored device settings; and technical request/security data needed to operate the service. When an authenticated user requests a live AI action, the selected article URL, readable article material and any question or context needed to generate the response can be sent to our AI provider. Usage records may include action type, model, article URL, time, token counts and status; they are linked to an account. We do not collect payment details through this beta website.
Why and on what basis: delivering the requested invitation-only account, news reading, saved items and AI features is necessary for performance of the beta-service arrangement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); essential security, abuse prevention, error diagnosis and measured use of the service are based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), subject to your rights; any records we must retain by law are handled under the applicable legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)). We do not use the public demo for live AI processing.
Recipients and services: Supabase provides account authentication and hosted account/content-state storage; Cloudflare provides website delivery and API/network infrastructure; OpenAI processes inputs submitted when you explicitly request live AI functions. Publishers and third-party websites receive network requests when you follow an original-article link or retrieve third-party feed content; their independent policies then apply. We do not sell personal data. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where such transfers occur, appropriate transfer safeguards must apply. Contact us for details about relevant processors and safeguards.
Retention: beta account and preference/article-state records are kept while the invited account is active and as needed to provide the beta service. Usage and technical/security records are kept while reasonably necessary for operation, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. On a verified deletion request we review and delete or anonymize data no longer needed, subject to legal retention, incident/security needs and provider backup cycles. Precise backend log and backup expiration periods depend on provider configurations and are being documented; do not assume that closing the browser deletes the hosted account.
Your rights: you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to legitimate-interest processing. You can withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing. To request access or deletion of an invited beta account, email [email protected] from the account address. A self-service account deletion control is not yet implemented. You may complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), www.naih.hu, or another competent supervisory authority. Providing an email address is necessary for an account; without it we cannot offer authenticated beta access.
Security and automated decisions: sign-in uses Supabase authentication; passwords are handled through its authentication service, not printed in our public homepage logs. AI summaries and answers are generated content, not decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into AI questions.
2. Invited beta service information
2Day.news is a limited-access RSS reader with saved articles and optional AI-assisted summaries, context and questions. Access is currently for existing invited beta users only. No public signup, paid plan, renewal or payment is available. Content, feeds and features may be modified or unavailable while testing. Always check the publisher's original article before relying on generated information; do not bypass publisher paywalls or misuse third-party material. For questions or beta access removal, contact [email protected]. Detailed public subscription/consumer terms will be provided before any paid offering starts.

5. AI and original content
AI-generated summaries, background explanations and answers can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. They are not a substitute for the original publication or professional advice. Articles and feeds remain the responsibility of their publishers, and links may lead to third-party sites with their own policies. Our public interactive demo contains fictional, predefined examples; it does not generate real AI content or require sign-in. The beta application can submit relevant article material and your questions to OpenAI when you actively select an AI action.
